Our Maxi jet Pumps are reliable under normal operating conditions, usually lasting years. Sometimes, silt and sediment can cause issues in hydroponic applications. The pumps get dirty due to several reasons, including; nutrients, algae blooms and debris from substrates. Although filters can go a long way to protecting your pump. After a few years of service the pump may fail.
Rather than throwing the pump away. The cause of the fault is most often the impeller which is easily user serviceable. So you can get the pump working again for a fraction of the cost of a new pump.

MJ750 Impeller rotor
We recommend using a small brush to clean the hole which the rotor goes in to prevent future issues.
It’s easy to install the rotor, just take the old one out and put the new one in its place.
In all Pumps, the rotor only fits one way round so it’s impossible to install incorrectly!
We recommend cleaning the pump in between cycles or at least once every 6 months.
This ensures no cross contamination between crops, frequent cleaning also reduces the likelihood of a failure.
